Every month I treat myself to an abundance of new makeup shortly after Pay day, what else would I spend my money on? My bedroom is quite small and the space for storage is limited. That dream dressing room complete with a Hollywood mirror and shelves filled with lipsticks is going to have to wait.
Until then, I’ve been looking into what the best way to store makeup is. I trolled YouTube and Pinterest looking for some unique or creative ways that I might not have thought of yet. I’m not the best at the whole DIY thing, mine end up looking nothing like it did in the YouTube video and will probably fall apart in a couple of days. So, I have decided that buying a storage solution would be the best option for me personally.
The first one I can across was from Urban Outfitters. At only £14 I thought this was quite reasonable. It may not be a solution to storing all of your makeup but I think it would be a great addition to the top of a dressing table or drawers for the makeup you use on a daily basis or you would want to grab as your running out the house.
I found this one on Esty. I personally love Esty and love finding quirky handmade unique items. This one is a bit more expensive, but it is handmade and super practical, so I think I would be willing to pay the £58.20. It holds 60 lipsticks/glosses – 30 in the front, 30 in the back. 3 drawers to hold your eye shadows, blushes, powders. 4 side pockets to hold brushes, lip liners, eyebrow pencils, foundations, creams and the unit is on a rotating base making it easy to access everything!
With this one, you could deffo match up the rest of your room to have copper accents. You could really store anything on this and I personally think it’s very cute. Having things hanging on the wall creates even more space and helps stop your walls looking bare. This in currently on sale for £42!
If you have plenty of space in your bedroom, these would be a great addition. It’s a shame you can’t get them in any other colour apart from white. However, you could be creative and decorate them in any way you like. I’ve done this so much with old furniture, it makes them unique and cuts the cost of buying new furniture. Dimensions (cm): Height97 x Width65 x Depth25. The shipping for this does come at a slightly higher cost for those of you ordering to the UK as this is not a British brand, but with the help of multilingual manuals, this will be a great addition to any room.
Another Etsy find! I think this is probably my favorite storage idea that I found. The design would go perfectly with my room and once again is wall mounted which is the best way to keep your room from looking cluttered. This comes with a matching wood framed 18 1/2″ X 13 1/2″ mirror that is placed onto the top slot. For the ultimate vanity effect a bigger mirror is recommended. The mirror can be either placed onto the top slot, or mounted onto the wall on top of the organizer. Try a lighted mirror for a professional studio feel! (Vanity only includes the matching framed mirror). This one will probably be tricky to build, the best way to go about this is to have visual manuals
