Top 5 Christmas Decorations

December 13, 2017

12 days until Christmas!! Christmas is 100% my favourite time of year as its filled with fun, family, friends and indulgence. Unfortunately, this year has been a bit hectic in my household this Christmas and my Christmas tree was only put up yesterday, shocking I know.

For the first time ever, we’ve decided to go for a real Christmas tree this year as our old was 5 years old and started to look a bit mangled instead of majestic. Alongside that we’ve decided to go with a colour scheme with our decorations instead of a mix match of ornaments that resembled an elf’s vomit.

With that in mind I’ve decided to compile my top 5 must have decorations this Christmas!

Christmas Stocking

All my family has their own Christmas stockings which is left on the bottom of my bed for when I wake up in the morning. I’ve had the same one since I was little which is completely falling apart now. Debenhams have an amazing range of stockings which suit all the family!

Christmas cushions and bedding

If you anything like me, you’re a sucker for Christmas bedding. From tartan to glitter my bed must go along with the festive season. This year I’ve went all out and even bought matching Christmas pillows to add an extra touch to my room this year. If your wanting to splash out, you can even get personalised ones!

Mini Christmas Tree

Personally, I don’t think one Christmas tree is enough! I’ve got a white and purple one in my bedroom which matches my décor and my little sister has a pink one which she’s decorated with all her own handmade baubles. This comes in handy as me and my mam don’t agree on how the tree should be decorated.

A wreath is a classic Christmas decoration and perfect for inside and outside the house. You can get them in many different sizes and colour and I think they add a bit of class to your front door! This year I’ve went for a slightly less traditional one which is decorated with an assortment of dried fruits, sticks and pine cone.

There’s nothing better than being snuggled up in bed on a snowy day with candles lit to make the perfect festive ambience. I thought this year I would add some extra magic with some festive and cute candle holders. I got a yankee candle advent calendar this year so I’m never running out of tea lights!
